Apprenticeship Ambassador

Championing apprenticeships nationwide as an Apprenticeship Ambassador with the Department of Labor

The United States Department of Labor (DOL) has recognized Franklin Apprenticeships as an inaugural Apprenticeship Ambassador in recognition of our commitment to expanding access to apprenticeships nationwide and promoting Registered Apprenticeships for high-demand roles in the tech sector.

The Department of Labor explains that it has “selected 207 officials and organizations to serve as the initial cohort of Apprenticeship Ambassadors, who will share their experiences and champion apprenticeship opportunities.” Ambassadors include a mix of industry, labor, education, equity and workforce leaders who have committed to partner with the Office of Apprenticeship.

Ambassadors promote Registered Apprenticeships as a workforce strategy in high-demand industries and create new opportunities for people who have been underserved.

Franklin already supports more than 50 employers nationwide across seven tech occupations including: Cybersecurity, Help Desk, IBM Z ® Application Developer, IBM Z ® Systems Administrator, Network Engineer and Software Engineer.

As an Apprenticeship Ambassador, Franklin will continue to expand our occupations and our active advocacy of apprenticeships.
